The people of Lakshadweep began a 12-hour long hunger strike on today in order to protest against the latest rules and regulations implemented by the administrator Praful Khoda Patel. People protested from their homes, wearing masks and holding placards, with slogans condemning the actions of the Lakshadweep administration. All shops and establishments, except emergency services, remained closed on the island, which witnessed the first major protest in its history.
The peace of the Muslim dominating island is totally destroyed by the control and commands of the BJP led Administrator, Praful Patel. The EX Top bureaucrats even wrote letter to PM Narendra Modi with the purpose of gaining his attention towards the Lakshadweep innocents. The famous holm Lakshwadeep was a Covid free territory till 2021, the first case of Covid-19 struck the island after the entry of Praful Patel.
