The famous Indian Shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth’s chances of winning the iconic world medal for the Tokyo Olympics got Cancelled as the qualifying Singapore Open tournament which was supposed to carry on 12th May 2021 was called off. The organizers of the Singapore Badminton Association and Badminton World Federation accepted to cancel the Singapore Open and rescheduled it for June 1- June 6, 2021. The Singapore Badminton Association was cancelled due to the travel restrictions implemented by the countries.
