The Punjab Government announced ₹ 1,500 Monthly Pension and free education up to graduation for the children who lost their parents battling life threatening Covid-19 infection. All the facilities will be given to the children till the age of 21. Punjab recorded  191 Covid-19 deaths and 5,566 new cases in the State. Ludhiana recorded the highest number of Covid-19 positive cases in Punjab
