Rains with strong winds in the parts of Delhi-NCR decreased the mercury level from the atmosphere. The IMD had announced the possibility of a thunderstorm with light to moderate-intensity rain with wind speed 40-60kmph in Delhi-NRC earlier.

Heavy rains along with strong winds lashed parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed last week also. Trees were uprooted in some parts of the capital due to strong winds. The sudden rains brought relief to Delhiites bringing down the temperature in the capital in the summer period which also helped to reduce the temperature in the territory.
